Okay this is kind of a realistic take on a family that doesn’t know how to communicate, made me cry a bit...
I feel for her, for the husband and for the son...
I mean having all of these bad things happening during ur pregnancy and also feeling like she was trapped in a loveless marriage, and living for her family etc...
It’s just too much that she had to go through and obv she was a bad mom, but I’m glad that she is now taking that step...esp because like it gets harder to try and be a “mother” as more time goes by....like mending that relationship after so long.
The husband...I mean damn I do wish he could have just explained that his love is true, but damn do I feel bad that he has to go through this... He’s very busy and sort of had to care for his son alone...so while I don’t like his strictness...it’s def what he grew up with and what he knew.
As for the son well he’s the victim of all this and my heart breaks for him...I do think having a better relationship with his family and that being mended will hopefully help him become happier and less apathetic.

We can all agree that the emperor's personality is trash, but at the end of the day he still took care of her during her pregnancy (indirectly) he pulled a lot of string to make sure she's eating okay and getting enough rest.
And base on how the manga portrayed him, he didn't give me a reason to believe that he would kill her at any moment.
So I think her reason for running away was a bit rash and impulsive. As adults, they should have sat down and have a conversation about their future and the children's

I don't think it was that simple. She is from a highly ranked house. She is from a super rich house. So I think he just took the marriage offer from her house. I don't think he had to do it or anything though, but that it was just too good a deal to pass up.
