This is very true!! Their relationship progresses in a squiggle. He really is different post war, not that confident Ian she was surprised to meet when she regressed.
Remember, a couple chapters ago he had plans to get down on one knee and propose to her again but with like/love. So you can imagine the raw emotion he feels knowing he can’t. Ian walking past her without acknowledging her isn't about her. It’s about HIM.
I get that it just irritated me tho because when he came back and ignored her it kinda showed what their marriage might be like how it was before and I understand that he has ptsd and is dealing with shit mentally and it's not like he can reflect on his past life actions and she’s the only one that remembers everything that happened
