A lot more beautiful than I expected it to be, somehow. Every single chapter made me laugh & die of embarrassment from their antics. Also I may have fallen in love with Maris, and also Dark Night. Death Mask slays me. Everyone in this manga slays me, really-
This was a blessing to read, truly. Sooo funny!
I just watched the first episode today and I am so...very....
happy!! I have been waiting for the anime ever since it was announced. To think that all of my waiting and praying to the yaoi gods finally paid off! It is a glorious day. Personally, I have no problems with the adaptation so far whatsoever... perhaps because I love the manga so much that any flaws that it might have can just be ignored by me. In any case, to those of you who haven't watched it yet, you're in for a treat!
The art is beautiful as well, and the OP is already stuck in my head. Looking forward to a wonderful season!

Of course the first chapter is starting to make sense... I suspect that Kyon is going to decide that he'd rather die than harm Lucaon and try to end things that way. But I wonder if this takes place before or after the cane beating? Lucaon would have to have a pretty good reason for keeping Kyon after finding out that he's with Intron. Or perhaps he just wants to keep him around and 'punish him' in his own... creative ways.
Either way. I'd love to see a big battle of the masters. I just don't see Lucaon handing Kyon over to Edwin after this?

This is what he said to Kyon before and as of ch. 34 I guess we know how that turned out.
Oh Lucaon...

You little brat! Yes, there would be people to look after him. People who are rude and violent and only want to use him as a weapon...
I blame you for the pain my son is feeling! You'd better get a lifetime supply of kisses ready because that poor boy has been through hell because of you... And you just had to go Zeus on him and harass him all the time, too. Well, not that he minds but that's beside the point! Treat him gently, damnit!
(And yet... after this revelation, we know that Lucaon will still eventually bludgeon him with a cane. What are we supposed to do with these two?)
I can already sense all the heartbreak I'm going to get from the chapters in the near future , I'm seriously going to hang myself if any of the couples in this story dies.
Hi! I would like to mention something that sounds crazy! Spoiler alert.

Okay so... brief throwback to this chapter; this part right here: http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/royal_servant/uu/royal_servant-chapter-17/10/
I always thought it was a little strange that they went after Kyon first here. I could be missing something so please take this with a grain of salt, but I feel as though the author had Lucaon raise the question of whether or not he was the target of the attack on purpose. Of course they did mention that the whole thing was just a diversion but I find it more than coincidental that Kyon has been the subject of a Zero attack three times...
The first time (and the most traumatic) being the encounter that led to the death of his parents, of course. The second being the issue mentioned above during the 'diversion' and lastly, the incident in chapter 33. Why target Kyon at all if he has no powers? Although it would make sense if they wanted to kill all of the servants in the mansion, but this still raises the question of why they put the (what I assume to be the Intron) logo around his neck...
Lastly! I thought it would be nice to mention that we have not heard of his last name. Which I always thought was weird, although it might not be significant since we have also not heard the last name of a few other characters, like Logan. Unless I am wrong but I am pretty sure that his name has been omitted.
Well, this is just a messy theory though. I apologize for the long post! What do you think? And if Kyon IS a target, what do you imagine would be the reason for that..? OH, and do you think there is a reason why his mother appeared in the flashback but not his father? Please feel free to discuss these things with me and add your own theories as well!
I thought so too! Maybe kyon holds some significance to some events that's about to be unfolded!
I once wrote a comment with my doubts about why someone would have attacked Kyon's family specifically and why we haven't known the father yet. Maybe he is important for the story.
What you say about Kyon's last name is quite interesting. In fact we don't know that much about his past and what he's been doing at all, it's the same with Lucaon's case. There is a lot of information missing.
Yes! I think it is fun to imagine how Kyon ties in with the story or why he would be significant at all to Intron. Unless someone (a spy perhaps) figured out that he was close to Lucaon, and wanted to try finishing off Lucaon's zerofication... which would make sense. Although it is fun to imagine that perhaps his family had something to do with it; otherwise, it seems that we are left in the dark about why they were the targets of a Zero attack. Was it dumb luck? Or did someone know exactly what they were doing by targeting the parental-Kyons!
And this is just a tangent, but I really hope Kyon doesn't get beat up too much for what he did to Lucaon... It really did seem to be a sudden act of self defense; he was in survival mode! Please understand this Lucaon... (although I, too, would be very angry if somebody nearly stabbed me in the eye...)
I think from the beginning kyon are mentally controled by someone maybe by the guy who put the strange contract on his neck(?)because from the beginning we saw an kyon really intrusives like sihan said to him, he want to know everything about Lucaon and his family all the secrets, i always thinked that it was suspicious
Hahaha I would kill anyone who stabbed me ( ̄へ ̄) But don't you do that, Lucaon (●'◡'●)ノ
Leaving that aside, a spy in the mansion could have known that the best option to get to Lucaon is now Kyon due to their relationship. Kyon did say that it would be weird that nodoby noticed what they were doing in practically all the house, if you know what I mean...
That is also interesting, although I am not sure that they would have waited so long to pull the trigger like that if they had tapped into Kyon's brain somehow since the beginning. But the idea that they have some form of mind control is interesting... Actually I was also batting around an idea like that for a while, related to the prologue. As of the recent chapter I thought, perhaps Lucaon's harsh brutality in chapter.0 is some sort of retribution for some sort of crime that Kyon committed (aside from simply being a servant)? And his submissive acceptance is his repentance. But I am not sure that there is enough information to support this, so I will just wait anxiously.
I agree. And not to point fingers, but Logan does have a big mouth... And there has been an unprecedented increase in servants since Lucaon's grown more comfortable having them around. It's a subtle change, but it's significant; the servants do speak to one another after all and with that many around, it'd be much more difficult to hide illicit activities from several people as opposed to three or four.
Although, the fault could rest on Lucaon just as much as it does Logan. Because as much as Logan and Ryan like to parade their ship around the manor, Lucaon certainly doesn't take too many precautions before jumping on his servant like that. Just look at what he did to Kyon on the balcony! And on the stair case and the dining room table and--
Ah anyway, the point is, he's being way too conspicuous. It's almost as though he wants someone to catch them 'in the act'. Can't decide if that's just a weird kink of his, or...
Is the Chinese raws out yet? I wanna read it since I actually understand Chinese >.<
Yeah, there were five servants at the beginning and at this point of the story there are more of them in the mansion plus the one or ones that turned into zeros.
And Lucaon doesn't seem to care if Kyon would feel embarrassed if someone saw them having sex, he just do whatever he wants because he is the Royal Blood.

"I don't need Kyon, he can leave if he wants to."
Also Lucaon: Don't touch Kyon
Also Lucaon: From now on, don't leave the mansion without my permission.
Also Lucaon: [gets triggered when Kyon isn't around]
Something's telling me that it isn't as simple as "he can leave if he wants to"!
I can't believe I finished this. There is a void in my heart now. I loved this so much!! I have already read the sequel and although it is beautiful I admit that I'm not satisfied. I just want more, forever.
Haha, that's a selfish thing to say. In any case I sincerely hope that the author returns one day with a sequel once again, perhaps focusing on new dilemmas for Higuchi and Endou. I wouldn't mind it if they spent more time in the demon realm! Or if the matter of their 'reproduction' was discussed...!
This was definitely worth the read. Gotta love BL with plot and development.
