I expected the pope to look.. less evil? He’s gonna be the final boss but that’s not revealed until like halfway through the novel the intrigue and surprise was well built and u rlly couldn’t feel any animosity from him until the reveal (although I guessed what and who he was from his description alone lol)
Guys I read the whole novel, ask me if u have any questions regarding spoilers
The main villain isn’t the emperor and the empress dowager, but the pope. Turns out the pope manipulated the whole situation, killed the previous empress, convinced the dowager to frame her (so she wouldn’t get blamed for her death), killed herdins parents (I can tell u the reason if ur curious) and placed a black magic curse on Herdin to kill him like his parents (and ordered Blair to be murdered). The guildmaster is his (popes) illegitimate son and they’re both related to Herdin (the pope was the illegitimate son of his grandfather). In the end Herdin and Blair get back together and the baby (asiel) has memories of their previous life. If ur curious about anything else u can ask!

Does he remember everything from his memory right away or does it take some time? And does he bring in the saintess like he did in the previous life? And I also want to know if even if he had brought in the saintess, how does he treat her? Just like how his past self did: hide everything like a coward and appear as a cheater willingly, or differently?
We’re not sure, Herdin goes to his crib to kill him (after rampaging and killing everyone in the mansion) but he stops when he sees Asiels violet eyes (they remind him of Blair) then he activates the forbidden magic and rewinds time. The emperor is super selfish and doesn’t rlly care about his sister and the dowager is kinda stupid, she’s self centered but she only causes a little bit of trouble before her reputation is ruined by the trial (where the previous empress is declared innocent) and after that she and the fl don’t interact
If u guys want any spoilers, ask me ヾ(☆▽☆)
So basically the manhwa is kinda close to the end, after this chase is gonna get kidnapped and the body guards will save him, during which Josh’s ear piece gets smacked off and it’s revealed that he’s an omega. After that it’s a bit of back and forth and chase doesn’t find out about Pete and the mark until the end. Chase gets attacked by that omega he met at the party at some point too and he shoots himself? (The translation was a bit hard to understand at this point)
This is a very cliche and typical story but I just can’t get past the fact that the ml turned a blind eye to the og owner of the MCs body, his own WIFE. Basically neglected her for years, let his servants abuse her (don’t care whether he was aware of it or not) and was overall a terrible husband. And I’m supposed to enjoy him doting on the fl?? Esp when his dogshit butler was aware of the situation too but didn’t help with “ur not worthy” bs

Here’s what the cravat scene made Blair remember:
l”because in her previous life, she'd tied his cravat countless times.
He'd often asked her to tie it for him, using it as an excuse to pull her close and embrace her even in the busy mornings.”
