I didn't mind the 7 year age gap, since it's quite small compared to my parents who have an age gap of 15 years. (I know right u-u) But- I'm starting to dislike Emel.
First of, just like how Anne viewed the situation, it was Emel who acted kind and gentle. He wanted Estelle to perceive him as that kind of person. If it wasn't for that reason, why did he have to be a completely different person?
Secondly, the fKiNg aUdACitY. "You don't know anything about me." Jfc, uhm, hello? How was she supposed to know anything when nobody fkn ever tells her what is happening? The events just drag on until the time comes when she faces with it without knowing anything at all.
Estelle is a pretty straighforward character, whatever she was curious about, she would directly ask. However, what answer does she get? Ever since she was a child it's always been, "I shouldn't tell you." "I've said enough." "I can't tell you, wait until you grow up." "It's nothing, you don't have to worry." And then what? She grew up over-thinking things because nobody answers her. She experienced first-hand the torture that the wizard inflicted on her- because what? She had no knowledge of what they're capable of doing.
Alright, they wanted her to be grow up happy. And then? It was they themselves who told her that the Castielo family had many enemies, and that the family was ostracized and hated. The least they could do was tell her about those dangers so she can prepare herself tsk.
Back to Emel. Estelle confessed to him. He rejected her and just left. Like, what the actual fuck?
Okay, granted that he thought her affection for him was different from his affection for her- who was he to fucking decide that? "Oh, I like you too, but the way I like you is different from the way you like me." Uhm, excuse me? Are you Estelle?
Fine, Estelle herself said that she wanted a fluffy romance and sht, she thought that way, so maybe, just maybe, Emel knew of that too. Then he could've at least told her. Tell her that the romance between them would be different. Tell her that he was not exactly the 'kind and gentle' person she knew.
Emel should have voiced his opinion on the night Estelle confessed. Instead of saying, "My lovely lady, please stay lovely." Then just leave. Like, Jesus, what the fuck? Right, he wanted to inherit the Marquis title so his status would at least be somewhere near Estelle's standing, but why didn't he tell her?
Please- he's an adult already, he should have known why communication was important in the first place.
He was afraid that he would fail? Was afraid that Estelle would be waiting for nothing? That was Estelle's decision to make. It was up to her if she wanted to wait or not. He watched her grow up, he should have known that she was responsible, her way of thinking was unlike an ordinary child. She can comprehend.
Now he's back and what does he say? He went back to the criticize her saying, "My lady, you don't know anything about me."
Ha, the fucking audacity.
Anyway, I think the pianist was adorable :))
OH HELL YESSS TELL EM im so frustrated... Honestly i cant with emel rn. Bitch really had the audacity to belittle her feelings like shes said MOTHERFUCKER THIS IS MY OWN FEELINGS AND U DONT HAVE THE FUCKING RIGHT TO TELL ME ITS WRONG like excuse me? Did i fucking stutter?
And idk how theyre both going to change and handle this BUT RN im really leaning more into marrying Zeon or Mr Pianist
