Well of course. This is an illegal website. I’m only just advising it to the person uploading. I’m not forcing them to stop it or begging them to stop. But even if there has been hundreds posted doesn’t mean I support them. I just think it’s disrespectful to the author.

Big chances are that this person uploading will be hit with DMCA, which is something no one wants to happen to them. If people do decide to do licensed projects, the uploader should understand the risks of DMCA and the author/officals jumping them.

I totally agree with you, but many of us don't speak English as our first language and the manga isn't published in all countries, so we have to read the English version. And I won't buy the English version because it might be published in my language in the future. In that case I will definitely support the author by reading it again and buying it in my country.

I totally understand your point and there are stories that’s been dropped because of platform like this. But being here is providing these uploaders the freedom to post stories illegally and though it’s sad and dangerous, people will always find ways to access what they want.

yeah I'm well aware of that I'm just saying that a huge portion of stories on here are officially licensed, literally anything official posted on here is licensed meaning any of the stories you're reading that are officials is "disrespectful to the author" ig. you're reading stories on a illegal website if it's a fan-translation or officials being posted you're still supporting them being stolen so like why complain that it's negatively affecting the author when you're also doing the same thing by reading them on here.(￣∇￣")

Now this is a different situation. There are different types of official releases. If it says it is licensed in ENGLISH, it means there is an official english translation either done or on the way. But that doesn’t mean other languages so as ling as it doesn't say licensed in a specific language I think that would be fine since english is what usually authors care abt most.

I read this before the offical translation had came out, THAT is a different situation. But if the officals had come out, and this series had been licensed then, I would do the same and buy the officals to support the author. I only just noticed that this series had been uploaded after a long time of being licensed in english and thought about speaking on it(⊙…⊙ )

As long as the uploader understand the risks that are at stake, then I wouldn’t really care, I just wanted to say something about in case they don’t know this information ╥﹏╥

i bet the author appreciates it and you seem like a nice person so i bet that will reach to them. Internet is a very strange place and a lot of interpretation can be made so if that’s your intention then I’m glad you handled this well.

sorry I didn't mean for what I said to sound a bit mean(I swear It didn't read that way when I wrote it), I'm glad that you made it aware to people that might not know about the risks of DMCA but also most officials including raws usually have a page at the end of each chapter or the end of the volume that has a little warning about reposting and what not. plus there was that pretty big case recently within the community that happened about a scan group getting sued so it should be fairly common to anyone posting officials or fan-translations just from common sense that you're doing something illegal on a illegal site to begin with since we read on here for free.
