When I was first reading this I ofc saw that it was gonna be a tough story. I opened the comments I saw ppl saying that this is a story about growth and healing so that kept me reading. As I was reading I felt more and more disappointed in Ian going back and forth between jo and Ian. I thought to myself "no its a story about growth and healing and tj and Ian are the cycle that needs to be outgrown, so maybe he will do something about it in the end. I thought that if Ian chooses jo he's choosing to go with the man he can heal with. I think alot of us can say that hope kept us reading even if we felt like its not gonna happen which I did feel at some points . That was one of the reasons I kept reading. Another reason is I genuinely thought th author was gonna stick to her word and write a story about growth( and to me that growth was joseph) It felt like if he chooses jo he will heal and grow so i stayed reading cuz I thought that was the point of the story. Sad to say that is not the case . I genuinely wasted my time ☹ and now I feel stupid for believing that a YAOI was gonna have genuine healing. I freaking hate love triangles.
Kudos to you tj gurlies you won
I have one question to you though Do you genuinely think that him going back to tj is healing ? Whether or not that healing happens before he went back or while he is with him?
I had the same approach, I saw this series as Ian's healing story, this is how it was portrayed at the beginning, but all we've got is back and forward love triangle angst, and people say that him healing was exactly that going back and forward, I'm done, people are so blinded by that TJ vs Jo war that end game was the only thing they could've think about It's just one of many poorly written series at this point, and it's dissapointing, clearly wasted potential, but people take whatever author gives as always, so... I'm just glad it's ending, hella frustrating journey without proper execution, definitely we'll not touch anything from Doyak anymore

Maybe I shouldn't have read this story with so much "growth and healing" replaying in my head
