Finished it and the side stories felt more like continuation of the main story that ending didn't felt like an ending.
not sure if spoilers but just in case

Yi-Eum suddenly being accepting of their intimacy was kind of out of nowhere in my opinion. Take "Passion" for example, atleast with Taeui, we got to see his progress of acceptance that Ilay is crazy but this one felt too sudden to me. Also, I expected the Yang Mokhyeong case to be the main conflict of the story with Yi-Eum finding out it was Wonjun's doing, but when reading the novel, it felt episodic where Yi-Eum is tangled in a case one moment, then it getting resolved bc of Wonjun.
ALSO SPOILERS AS WELL
The last chapter with him filing a complaint against Wonjun harassing him was completely thrown out the window btw. It was mentioned that Jung Daehan is going to interrogate him and stuff but I got surprised that it wasn't brought up again. There is a dialogue where one of the bg characters said that the case was dropped (or will be dropped??) and i thought they were just saying that as a joke because there's a rumor going around that both YE and WJ are involved in a close relationship. Ehh idk I still enjoyed it. I just felt like the "cop and the bad guy helping him by killing the perps" plot point could've made it better

THANK GOD him revealing he is a "bl novelist and needs the experience in order to write" is out of the way. I don't want another "don't mix business with pleasure" type of conflict
