Dude we have lost the plot. What even is this story anymore, zero point in having the start of the story be him resetting life and this now it’s just some weird multi personality horror thriller

Yeah the novel author died but it was said that someone close to author continued the story based on author's notes that they left.
I miss when this story was just on earth, when he actually crossed over into the other world when he goes to sleep, and a lot of missing old characters and unfinished plots
