Fuck is going on. I do understand that the author is trying to make this world seem more realistic by adding in the struggles of politics and personal beliefs into the world, but I genuinely am not a fan on how it's beginning to overtake the story. It's hard to find a balance when trying to make your story realistic and trying to add complexity to the story instead of it being a straight up romance novel with no substance, I'm just not a fan when the reason I got hooked on it was because it was silly and more about family encounters.
We live in a day and age where everything is about politics in the media and imminent war is all around us, I don't want to read about it in my only escape (/TДT)/
I was hoping for more silly moments and rivalry between the candidates, not a political story ╥﹏╥
When this ends or if someone knows, spoil it for me on who she ends up with. My money is on the pope because I think that man will literally kill to have her (⊙…⊙ )
To be fair, the political plot points have probably been planned ever since the FL was introduced as someone who died as a military science major in her old life int he first chapter. And it's not that it overtook the story, it's simply that the story evolved in that direction. I just binged 40 chapters of this and I could see it coming since chapter 50. The upcoming war was meant to be a major plot point from the get-go. I think it's easier to lose sight of that when you get weekly releases and breaks at every turn.
Okay but tbf reading has *always* been political, whether it be novels or comics. Plus this is a historical story, so it's not surprising that politics werr eventually thrown into the mix of the eventual plot.
However, I do understand the desire of reading for escapism.. so please don't take this as me attacking you lol. that statement just sounded somewhat ignorant ( ̄∇ ̄")
Idk man, some of the smut I read is not political at all (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Jokes aside, I guess you're right, it's a historical story so it should be expected. I've just read a couple of stories where the politics aren't integral to the storyline or are just briefly glossed over, so I was hoping it would be the same here! It started off silly, so I was hoping for it to continue that vibe. But that's just me, not my cup of tea :) And no worries at all, I see your pov ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
But what about his illness? Why was it just randomly sprinkled in? ┗( T﹏T )┛
Lihuan only had a cold, not a serious illness (I'm assuming you're talking about the side story where he's in the hospital hooked up to an IV). In East Asia, if you get a cold it's pretty common for people to go the hospital to get an IV drip to replensih nutrients and rehydrate. Also in East Asia it's pretty easy to see a doctor so people can go to the hospital for even the smallest things. You'll see similar scenes in a lot of other manhua/manhwa/manga. So no need to worry too much about him
I love a good old going back in time story, but sometimes it gets repetitive. BUT THIS. THIS IS ART. I love that she is taking revenge and she's evil (but not like evil without justification) and not playing the "sweet, inncoent, victim" card. She's crazy, he's crazy, I LOVE IT ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ I'm invested in how she fights people and takes control of situations (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Of course I totally understand why their relationship will develop slowly. They're both hella traumatized and rightfully so. Give them time, let them fall in love (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
They're CRAZY crazy, I NEED more (≧∀≦)

I binge read it and honestly I cringed most of the time. Coffee solves all conflicts and brings people together? Like the witches hunt (where witches were persecuted and MASSACRED by the empire) was resolved in 4 chapters. Why bring in her mom who did not matter to the plot or even the witches in general? Or like overcoming the class system because of coffee. I mean I am so sorry, but coffee is not THAT good ╥﹏╥
Like it was a cute read to just turn my brain off if I didn't think about it too hard and focused on just her expanding the coffee business, but I think it was just too much for the author to make the FL just solve every problem and so easily ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ everything was so easy for her and like others said, the romance was SO FORCED. It could have just been a story about her love of coffee which she seemed to have more connection with than the ML ( ̄∇ ̄")
The absolute lack of build up, no real connection, or just constant miscommunication was so mid. Also why was her trauma literally just brushed off? Or the MLS trauma? Or even the brother's? Idk man, I'm just a hater. ╥﹏╥
