He really die (his other heart or something) but it was all a qualification of the system for him to meet the shadow monarch.

He didn't came back to past lol. The shadow monarch and SJW meet when he died but the shadow monarch shows him the past but DID NOT CAME BACK TO PAST.

I remember that SJW did become the undead but did he died???

About the past, he did go back to the past near the end of the novel but not when he's with the monarch. The monarch just show SJW his past.

Yes, he died. Everyone also think so because the hunters near him can't feel his presence but then again, he has 2nd heart, which the system put into him at the beginning of the manhwa^^
