At this point, I think the only good ending it would be for Leon to actually die and to reunite with Cliff in heaven or whatever happens in their world after death.

I know u can't always trust AI, but guys, the timelines are srparated. They are different AU's, so the child timeline with the afult timeline aren't really in the same univers:
Yes, the timelines and storylines in the Papa Wolf and the Puppy manhua are separated. The author, Ma Wei, frequently switches between completely distinct alternate universes (AUs) and independent timelines.
The main structural separations in the series include:
• The Animal Timeline: The original setting of the series (Chapters 1–18 and sporadic later updates) features actual animals, focusing on a stoic Wolf King adopting a literal, fluffy dog puppy.
• The Main Human Timeline: Prompted by massive fan popularity, the author transitioned the main story into a humanized world. Here, the characters are human: Papa Wolf is a retired mafia boss living in seclusion, and the puppy (often nicknamed "Potato") is a young boy whom he adopts.
• Future/Adult AUs: There are standalone chapters showing Potato grown up into a large, muscular adult. These function as alternative future timelines or "what-if" scenarios that operate separately from the main child-rearing plot.
• Special "What-If" Universes: The author regularly releases extra chapters with entirely separated realities, such as gender-swapped versions, body-swapped chapters, and "if ages were swapped" timelines.
Because these timelines do not run chronologically into one another, you can treat the animal chapters, the main human upbringing chapters, and the various special/adult extras as completely separate universes.
