What do people mean by saying 'we need character development'? Because it sounds like they want him to become a good, loving person. I'm not sure this is the point of the story. Both of them have some unhealthy coping mechanisms. It might get boring but I again bring the fiction aspect of the story. And that the author suggested that they will find happiness 'in their own way', which might not be what happiness is to us. In not saying the main characters should stay toxic and not change their behaviour but why is development only seen as a positive thing? It could also be the opposite, going fully crazy and killing people. I once again think that people just don't understand what fiction is about and what that story is about. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I got so confused - why is the director so "cold" towards him? Why are they not coming back to his - i mean their - flat? And then i rememberd that it's a story about BEFORE all that. Stupid me. (￣∇￣")

Again, what's wrong with you people? It's fiction. I didn't see such comments under Killing stalking. Why? Because that was the plot, that was the goal. This manga perhaps is supposed to be twisted too. I understand wanting the character to end up in the better place, it might not happen. But being mad at the author for such choice? That's the point of fiction. Creating stories that have nothing do to with real life. No one is glorifying rape or abuse, wtf, no one says it's normal either. There are other titles to read if you want a positive, happy ending story. Why? Because that's what their authors decided to write about. Why? Coz it's fiction. Calm down.

I'll say it again and again - I'm not sure what people were expecting in here. The story is supposed to be wicked. The main character has some mental issues - since he was a teenager, we learnt about it. No one is saying what's happening is a good thing. But again, it's not real life, it's fiction. I too would like to see a nice, loving relationship. And I said that before - remember killing stalking? Or other mangas like that? We all want the 'character development' but maybe that's not the purpose of the story? ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Fiction sometimes is supposed to touch sensitive topics. It's a made up story that includes that type of plot. It's not realistic and that's the point of fiction isn't it? You can easily find a realistic possible love story in this genre. This one on the other hand gives you a different experience and that's why I love foction. It's imagination where you set your own rules.

Also, in one Q&A an author replied to a question of if they'll ever just be together and love each other. The author answered 'in their own way'. And that's how I see it. Some relationships are toxic. A lot of people also need to realise that it's fiction. No one preaches those behaviours. Real world is one thing, stories are other. You can't compare it.
