Sorry folks but enzo has been insane from the start so expect the expected lolol plus they both operate in dangerous jobs and their backgrounds? Yeah I think people should stop saying this is toxic because it is toxic from the start
Which is funny because while still reading this at this point, I still can't view how Adrian and Enzo would develop feelings for each other because during at red candy, adrian had always been the top and has interest with candy there and since in this story he became a bottom but still a powerful and cool one at that, I still can't visualize how enzo and adrian would really be in the future
I think some people are misunderstanding the criticism. Nobody is shocked that the relationship is toxic — that was clear from the start, and the characters’ backgrounds and dangerous lives are part of what makes the story what it is. The point isn’t “wow, this is toxic, I can’t believe it.” The point is that people are allowed to react to what they’re watching and say “this is disturbing” or “this dynamic is turning ugly” without that meaning they don’t understand the characters or the genre.
What’s strange and and honestly funny is seeing people jump in and interpret any negative reaction of the darker elements as proof that someone “doesn’t understand the story,” when that’s not the case at all ! Understanding why a story is dark doesn’t mean everyone has to enjoy every aspect of that darkness or react to it positively. People can appreciate the complexity, the drama, and the characters while still finding certain actions or dynamics disturbing.
Like different reactions can exist, and understanding a story doesn’t require blindly accepting every part of it.
I didn't expect a whole paragraph from my comment. I don't really care what will people react. I simply wrote that because it’s already expected but yeah I get your point, people are allowed to react and deem some parts of this as disturbing. But genuinely, I literally just wrote this because I see people saying enzo is this and that. So like yeah? I guess my point still stands, expect the expected—and my comment is not about me misunderstanding their criticisms btw, because while I understand that everyone can share their criticism again, expect the expected. I'm basically just another person sharing my own criticsm
I get what u guys are saying but again we're reading a fiction here where a character who is literally built like a black flag so I don't think that's a big of a problem...? Considering the overall progress of the story.
Side note: i don't like these acts irl but again, this is fiction and while I know the situation is considered rape in this story, y'all have to understand that from the overall plot of the story, unfortunately it is expected because of how their characters are built. That's why I added another paragraph that I really don't see anything that will develop between the 2 characters in the future because of how the plot is going. But that's just me
And yeah the author could've used something else other than using the typical plot about raping someone this and that so yeah, I really do understand what u guys are pointing out. Some can be disturb about it while enjoying how dark the story is and others just let it be. I'm a reader just like y'all sharing a comment of how I see it so I don't think my comment was worthy of these explanations. But thanks for sharing those tho, others would appreciate reading it just as I am

Literally just shut my brain on this one smh what's new? OH NOTHING!
