The people who say either of them are definitely in the right/wrong both confuse me. I don't know either of them are particularly wrong, but I also don't think that they're right.
Both of their reactions are deeply shaped by homophobia and their experiences with it (shocker the gays are affected by homophobia/j).
Garam has had to spend his teenage/young adult years fighting against homophobes. Whether it be because of ignorance or true malice.
While Jeahyuk's perspective is completely different. He used to be the homophobe and because of that he clearly believes that hateful people can change. In his mind, even if it takes a long ass time, they can learn to accept him and Garam. And there has so far been nothing to challenge that belief.
Though a secondary factor (IMO) to their thoughts is also their class differences. Even if some people don't accept him Jeahyuk knows he'll be fine because his has that safety net of his parents. Garam comes from what seems to be a middle/lower middle class family, if anything happens to him his family is fucked.
But maybe those are just my insane sleepy ravings
Both em pissing me off, they gotta just get locked in a room till they figure shit out and learn to talk like the adults they're supposed to be. I don't even see teenagers in BL act this childish, one of my favorite BLS (no smut) is middle schoolers and they ain't even like this.
