Agree. It’s hard to find stories with more than just smut and surface level plot. A more recent one is The King of Home Dating. Not as deep but still good and relatable. Has smut but also got a decent plot that’s very “human” plus there is humour in the way this author writes which I enjoy. I feel the story needs more love and appreciation if you want to give it a try. Unless you already have

Uke would never have considered quitting his job or getting his nips pierced if it wasn't for semes subtle coercion. Uke is head over heels for seme and all you see is him adjusting more and more throughout the manga to fit semes preferences. Asking someone crazy about you to quit their job and have their nips pierced on multiple occasions and then later on making it seem like its their choice? That's classic manipulation.
