am i just not following the story?? i’m so confused on why she’s so hesitant on going back? like wasn’t she just excited to be there for the weekend? they were friends as kids, fell off, reconnected but now it’s weird cause they’re both older so there’s more tension??? is she just worried how her family/public views them together?

It’s because it’s exhausting when everyone around you constantly “ships” you with your guy friend

Like it makes you overly conscious about how you interact with them and how frequently

I feel like how she’s acting is really realistic

I agree, imagine if it's in real life and you're friends with a killer's son. Of course, who would've known if the son turns out to be like his father.

Right now, there is a little tension between them. They just don't know they're afraid to lose one another.

It takes time to realize each other's feelings, so let's be patient. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

When you get older and have friends if the opposite sex people start to expect you to see them differently as you age. In 5th grade no one really sees us as having relations with others but in 12th- they’ll see you hang out with that same dude and immediately think yall are hunching + something more. it’s very annoying
