It’s honestly not hard to sexually assault someone. Soyeon isn’t innocent but people dump all the blame on her like she immediately absolves ayeon of all consequences.

If you assault someone, they will genuinely not give a fuck about your “sad” backstory, because YOU, not someone else, assaulted them. It won’t matter that you “feel bad” about it, YOU still assaulted them.
If ayeon assaulted a woman, I genuinely don’t believe the reaction would be the same, it’d at least be A LOT more controversial. Soyeon is batshit crazy and everyone agrees on that, but ayeon shouldn’t immediately be absolved of his crimes bc he “loved” her. Someone might’ve been peer pressured into assaulting a person by their friends, which is scarily not uncommon irl, but they’re still the perpetrator bc they went through with the action when they had the option not to.
If someone is crying and screaming for help under you, but you continue to go through with it, you ARE guilty. I’m not saying ayeon needs to go to prison or anything for the rest of his life, but there should have been consequences.
There just unfortunately weren’t any other than his own, minimal “feels bad” moment.
I mean after all there’s a time skip and now the prev mc(forgot his name) and him seem to be getting along quite well which hopefully meant he got on his knees to apologize already.
