Starryberry like topic of Salt Heart

Read only if you want the whole novel spoiler. I cut some important plot points but this is basically what happened.

After reading the novel I have concluded that MC is a former red flag that became a green-yellowish flag with red dots haha. The amount of times I yelled at the MC to just focus on his studies my god. ML on tbe other hand is actually a green flag with few red dots lol.

Our omega grew up in an orphanage and only finished middle school then got involed with the bad crowd. He became a thief and a liar because he had no parental figure and his adoptive parents always abandoned him. At 21, he fell hard for ML because he is the only one who truly cared for him. MC wanted to be a better person and wanted to ML would look his way.

ML is actually really had a mature approach towards MC. He felt like a proper guardian. He's older and drew clear boundaries towards MC but MC is the one who just consistenly breaks it! That's right! ML gave MC a job and a chance to finish his studies via GED without any sexual gains. MC is young and fell hard in love, so he does stupid things to get closer to ML but it's like talking to a wall lol. He was not interested in him romantically/ sexually at this point.

It's true that ML got a vasectomy. But it's also true that they were able to conceive during his rut. It really was an accident that he got the MC pregnant because in his sober mind, he always said no to MC. At this point of th story, MC really wasn't expecting anything. He was always rejected so now he just wanted to know what to do with the baby. So, he told ML about the pregnancy. Surprisingly, after a tedious back and forth, ML married him! MC was not expecting a warm, loving relationship but ML actually became more affectionate during their married life. Before they got married it felt like they were in the awkward getting to know phase, but after marriage ML amped the affection up. He respects MC, honors his cravings, helps him study for GED, and they make love. They were going so well until he overhears ML and ML's friend's conversation. It was a heavy conversation about the MC and it hurt him so much. Basically, ML still doubted the baby is his and he only used their marriage as a way to be free from his father's influence.

MC now wanted a divorce but this time ML would not budge because he fell for the MC. He already started to fall for him even before they conceived but he was in denial because MC is young (He is 32, MC is 21-22) and he felt dirty about it. His behavior after MC told him about the pregnancy and during their married life is real. He tells mc he actually does not mind if the baby wasn't his. He's ready to be the father. MC takes issue on this because as an orphan, he knew how adults easily abandon kids they have no blood ties with. He felt betrayed by ML because in his mind, all those happy moments while married were fake and the ML was thinking he was a liar all along. He regrets his past and he is changing for the better but the person he loves the most would never believe in him so he wanted a divorce.

They separate once the ML learned that the baby was his because ML felt guilty towards MC but they did not get divorced. They get back together and now MC is in college and a bit more mature while ML is now more expressive, more caring and loving towards MC and their baby

This is entirely on my taste. Will probably include more recent on going manwhas
-FLs who's not a damsel in distress, got okay characterization and strong in her own way,
-MLs I love are usually blond, but most of all, I love them complex. I hate duke of the north stereotypes.
-SIDE CHARACTERS ARE THEIR OWN CHARACTERS AND DOESN'T JUST REVOLVE TO THE MCS
-great art
- would list the social problems being tackled in the story if it's major or big enough to influence the plot
