I just finished reading this, and I don't know if I'm the only one who is wondering this but, what happened between Eleanor and the Empress Dowager for her to hate Eleanor this bad? Like I know she was her maid, and then became the former emperor's wife, but how did that happen??? I wish we had seen a glimpse of what happened and how Cardan grew up with his dead brother. Like he never spoke of his dead brother and I find that strange.
Next, I still don't understand who Erina is??? From what I got she just lost her memories of the past lives she used to rescue the prince, but wtf happened to her being from the modern world and being inside a novel?? If her mind had truly convinced her of those things because she had gone insane from the stress of seeing Cardan die multiple times, why would she know about the modern world?????? Assuming she's from medieval times, how the f would her brain be able to convince her that she's from a world she doesn't know exists? Is her brain a seperate entity or something?????? It just feels like the author got lazy and wanted to shock the readers so they invented a plot twist that wouldn't make any sense and hoped no one would notice ಠ_ಠ
Finally, I was also wondering about the motivations of the empress dowager in destroying the kingdom. It would have been fine if she was evil just to be evil, but the author gave us a crumb of why she's doing what she's doing (the death of her son), but since we have no insight into what her relationship with her former husband was like, it just feels like her anger is misdirected and we don't know why.
Anyways, imma stop here cause this is like your typical badly written Isekai that's there to read when you want to turn your brain off and that makes just enough sense that it doesn't bother you enough to not read it. I still enjoyed reading it but it didn't make me feel anything (maybe I'm not the target audiance because 15 year old me would've had field day with this one).
