I can't really blame Mincheol for what's happened. He clearly cares deeply for Haneul and she's been an integral part of his life and who he shaped his identity around/tried to be worthy of. He also blames himself for something tragic from when they were younger even if she doesn't, so it makes sense that he's so terrified to lose her. It's also more common than you think to be so worried about something that you start acting in a way that makes the bad outcome happen. I'm so sad they got rid of his tattoos, they honestly looked so good on him but both him and Seoha have pointed out that they were a rebellion against his dad in his controlled life, but now he's building a new life with her so it's almost like he's letting that grudge go
