I can sympathize with the internalized homophobia and homophobic family, but that's as far as it goes. What he did to the mc was unforgivable and there was absolutely no reason for it.

I also read the raws and part of it was that after throwing up the sunbae comes out of the bathroom and tries to explain himself but then MC cuts him off and says to not say anything and leave.

I think the sunbae felt nauseous at the sight of blood and also felt guilty for being responsible for the MC bleeding. But he never got to explain his side and he probably thought MC was angry because he'd gotten hurt and didn't even realize he'd also offended him by making him think it was the feeling after sex that made him sick.

The sunbae still seems to be pining after MC and so from my pov it seems like it was all a painful misunderstanding.

He doesn't GET to explain himself. He forced himself in the mc in the first place and was the very reason he was bleeding. There's no explanation that would make that ok.

But later on when the MC is talking about his new love life to sunbae in the car and is like "oh sorry, roll a window down cause this will make you nauseous" (hearing about his gay love life) and the sunbae again tried to say something but is cut off - that's what I'm saying points to the emotional misunderstanding between them. They aren't actually understanding each other's reasoning at all.

That's all I'm pointing out. Still an extreme douchebag - but the emotions are more nuanced because I don't think he threw up because he was grossed out by the sex (like MC believes) I think he threw up cause he felt guilty (as he should).

OH! Okay, I misunderstood who he was in the story. Thank god. I mean that's still so fucking awful but if he'd been the love interest my head would've exploded.
