This chapter was in Jihwans pov and is showing his true thoughts to Soo-Youngs request that he wait. It’s heavily implied that Jihwan is going to start isolating MC and make him more reliant on him. He wants to make Soo-Young happy but it will be what Jihwan thinks will make Soo-Young happy. When Jihwans mom asked him what happiness was he said living like her. That’s kinda messed considering she was living liked a caged bird whose wings had been clipped. He never got an answer to that question so it’s possible that he’ll make the same choice.
Jihwan saying Soo-Young doesn’t need other relationships, school, or college was blatantly ignoring what Soo-Young wanted in favor of what Jihwan wants for their future. It will be interesting how this plays out.
