I read the novel and Ishmion's worry is always so precious
I actually like the MC. He feels realistic; he’s reckless but knows when he’s wrong/has fucked up, and you cans ee him starting to grow bc he genuinely wants to change and be better after his experiences.

In the latest chapter it made Sylhan just give up and avoid Lord Ibsen because since Lisbeth is dying he will have to be married to Lister and he can't do anything about it.

yall... idek know what's happening anymore. I know a few weeks ago I mentioned i was reading the book but I've finished it now and it's COMPLETELY different
- Etienne disguising himself to investigate salt production + near kidnappning didn't happen
- The Queen did purge a bunch of castle staff but Etienne does not ever seem to have PTSD over it, though it's still the point at which he saves Ben
- Ben getting tortured by the queen NEVER happened he is fine and dandy
- Etienne isn't pushed out of a carriage
- Antoine admits feelings of love to Etienne but is rejected
- Etienne and Theodore never spar together because Etienne tells the Queen that Theodore has been using pheromones on him and the Queen gets PISSED
- there's a lot more background on Edwin (the king)
- Rishar learns earlier on EVERYTHING that the queen is doing to Etienne
Overall I do actually like the manhwa more... the novel DRAGGEDDDDD and I feel like had a much less proactive Etienne (as in he's sick like all the time and only really tries his hand at court intrigue a few times)
- also Reyar and that one girl who's name I can't remember play bigger(ish) roles
- also Rishar is boring in BOTH iterations of this story LOL sorry not sorry

I find Rishar boring as well. I get that he loves Etty but this man has no personality besides being Etty's love interest, I fear.
