So Scan Beans were the original translators for the first five chapters and the Seira and Sho came in on chapter 6. Scan Beans returns ch 30and 31. What happened? Did Seira and Sho take over without permission? Was it mutual? I remember thinking the first team’s translation was good, but Seira and Sho’s is fine too. Firstly as I know, Scanbean does not upload mang*go. They only upload on mang*dex. Other people would get from mngadex and upload in mngago.
So they never dropped DCS. and Scan bean ch1-5 uploaded here then Sera&Sho started to translate DCS and Scanbean translation stopped uploaded here and some random person just uploaded Scan bean ch 30 31 out of the blue.

As one of the people on the team, I want to have a rational response to this and explain Ahjussi's speech. For starters, I want to mention that I don't owe you anything, but you seem to be adamant about this in a few responses.
Ajussi specifically speaks in a rough gangster accent. He doesn't say much but when he speaks, he makes it purposeful but his words have edge. Think of it as Satoori, a gangnam accent often associated with rough slang. Ajussi teethers on the verge of using it but he doesn't instead having pretty localised korean w minor rough speak. So he doesn't use words like "entanglement"... Infact... Noone does cause entanglement implies... Hmm... How do I explain this... A tangling of fates... Something unforseen. Anyway, I've been in scans for 2.5 years, don't throw shit at people jist cause you favour a certain group, because this behaviour is why we often quit your favourite series.
I responded to you on another thread that has nothing to do with translation teams and everything to do with yakuza culture and the way they speak. Most authors do this in mangas with yakuza characters.

This was a well written and informative post. I have noticed (especially over the last 7 months) that it has been a free for all with translator groups lately. There used to be so much more transparency with each other and coordination with projects without each other taking over someone else’s work. Do you think it’s just super young people on new translation teams just not understanding how it’s always been done?
Kav, do you you know that mangago has been stealing our content since we started posting as a scan group? And this goes for ANY group posting publicly. If mangago cared about the people who work on this manhwa, MOST of the manhwa uploaded here wouldn't exist. Please look into the sheer amount of authors who don't want their stuff here but still have their stuff on here. We aren't even clarifying sniping... We're talking about translations...
This is a very valid point, and I hope that all of us on here (I try my best to support the authors on various platforms) rennet that there ar Ed an groups that do this as a hobby and purposely don’t post on sites they feel don’t respect the authors. We as readers have every right to chose to read on an illegal site, but these groups that scan privately and the authors themselves have every right to ask that their work not be posted here.
I definitely think so. I don't want to discourage younger people who want to get into scans, and culture is constantly changing so I try to stay informed as much as possible. So to people who happen to see this, PLEASE do not be discouraged. However is someone does want to upload a work, please ask the scan group. I know we're all pirates, but there's a code of conduct amongst thieves too. And please do not use MTL and sub-par editing techniques, ofc there's a learning curve and I cringe when I see my old work, but there's no harm in wanting to learn before taking someone else's work and doing your best to represent it fully. Thanks for being so nice with your questions, though, I really appreciate it!

I just found out more about that. It’s a mess. I do think the Seira and Sho need to watch it with the “stolen” and “better translation” stuff. Not only are the translations almost equal (not diving into who I think is better) Scan Beans wasn’t even trying to have their stuff uploaded on this site and has never tried to openly compete with Seira and Sho. At least that’s my understanding. Anyone have any info that counters this?
The better translations thing ticked me off cause we didn't invite any comparisons

I wonder if the author will create a side story with them? I’d like to see Noah explain what Alek’s family did to him to make him repay his father’s debt. I mean manual labor and sex slave is pretty horrible. Knowing Noah’s history made it so hard to like Alek because he called him worthless and trash in the beginning. I had to remind myself Alek doesn’t know what his family did. Of course Alek was treated horribly by the family too. Their story would be a little darker I think, but it would be amazing for them to let go of their pasts and be together.
I looked at the Japanese version of Renta! And it looked like there may be a second volume of this story based on the original story having this book cover and what looked like a second volume with a totally different cover. I tried putting the description of the second in a translator app, but couldn’t really understand it. If anyone reads Japanese could you please check out The Japanese version of Renta! and report back?
I’m sorry guys, but this is just wrong. Scantalation teams almost 99% of the time drop a project if it gets an official translation. It is out of respect for the author so that they can make some money from their work. I see many of you praising Jaxx up and down for his/her amazing work. How long do you think it takes him/her to create a story and then create this amazing art? Does he/she not deserve some compensation? Respectfully, this unofficial translation should stop here till the official has caught up. Then the new official chapters should be uploaded a few days to a week after they are released. This way Jaxx makes some money. I also read on this site, but when of my stories on my list gets an official translation, I do my best to support the author. This translator should do this too.

Yep I said clearly that when official translations come out I support the author. And if you (general you) don’t feel like supporting the author, then it’s at least giving them a chance to get some funds for their hard work by waiting a week to upload after an each official chapter is released.
