Maybe because so many people said it was good, I decided to try the manga after watching the first three episodes of the ongoing anime. Haha, turns out it’s not really my type of plot. From the start, I felt like the FL was pretty childish. So far, out of all the characters, I only like the prince.
I’m kind of annoyed with the FL in chapter 17. I mean, from the start she’s been the type who struggles to fit in and doesn’t rely on others, but it’s frustrating that she can’t read the situation. It was pretty obvious the ML was jealous there. And her boundaries are confusing… she’s shy, but at the same time kind of proactive.
And then chapter 18 is even more annoying. It started off okay, but some scenes were really frustrating, so my rating dropped. I don’t just judge based on the plot, but also the characters.

This is really good. The storyline is light, and there’s no misunderstanding plot or second male lead.
So what actually happened in the past? I still don’t really understand. Was it something like sexual abuse or bullying, or what?
I think the summary is that due to one of the kikyo students going to the fireworks with one of the chidori students, the kikyo student was getting hassled by other chidori students which led to a fight which caused the kikyo student and her date to go over the edge of a hill which led to her being pulled from kikyo by her dad. This caused the harsh attitude in order to not have another incident repeat itself. Since it doesn’t look good for the school especially to the parents who just want their kids safe and studying not getting injured and physically scarred for life.
