Well, I finally read the chapter 71 and I have got many thoughts and theory. Let's start with Gren: I think he is going to betray Shin and Jake by proxy in the upcoming chapters. Let me explain. 1) Since Gren's first apparition in Shutline, I've always feel a weird vibe coming from him regarding his relationship with Moon Shingun, the way he talked, touched and looked at Shin, it gives me creepy vibes, I Think He wants Shin in his life (now that they had found each other again) but not just as his "Hyung" but a little more than that, He always had a co-dependent relation with Shin since childhood, and due to their fucked up upbringing, I can understand why, but they apart for so long, and still, since he got back in Shin's life, he wants to be the number one priority to Shin, He doesn't understand why Moon choose Jake over him, not once but several times, he won't understand and get in his thick skull of his that Moon Shingun is in a different place in his life, Shin just got a chance at a more stable life, steady income, steady job, social life and potential love life, All of this thanks to Jake. Gren always wanted to know what type of relation Shin has with Jake and also with Ross. And in the Rehab facility, he asked Shin to leave Jake, he blames his hyung for not siding with him, even so Shin has tried may time to explain why it's not realistic, and even delusional on Gren's part to demand of him to abandoned his life and follow in his rampage. Jake has noticed Gren obsession for his hyung when Gren got him at gun point and spoke about Shin a d him (Shin and Gren) as a "we" Jake answered to Gren "who is we?", and Jake is right, Shin and Gren may know each other longer than Jake and Shin because they are adoptive brother, but they are no longer close since they were separated as children.
2)Gren is a very manipulative person and overall, he doesn't take any kind of accountability and responsibility for all the shit that he has done, like Blackmailing people, doing drugs, getting in a violent gang, and killed his own gang, he has a victim mentality, all of what happens to him since his childhood is someone else's fault, he sees himself as the victim, and at the very beginning...Gren actually was a victim...but not anymore! He Chose to get in a gang, he Chose to killed his own men, to shot Jake, and even after getting into rehab, the only thing on his mind is to commit an other crime, he still refuses to take any type of punishment or accountability for his own actions, he even blame Shin, the person who did everything in his power to get him out of the town after the all debacle with Ross and the Mercifuls and Jake. Gren had so many opportunities, so many chances were given to him by Jake, by Shin to get the hell out of this mess, to lay low until Ross and the Merciful are dealt with. But Nooooo, Gren want Shin to escapes with him, to run, and Shin is very smart, he knows that he cannot come with Gren, for several reason, it's not his responsibility to clean after Gren's mess, and He won't put himself into harms way just after he got his life in order so to speak. Gren basically gaslight Shin in this chapter because Shin put himself first.
3)Gren is going to betray Shin directly or indirectly, my theory is, once he finds out Jake and Shin relationship, he is going to lost it, and he will try to make a deal either with the Merciful to get rid of Jake so he can have Shin, or he is going to make a deal with Ross, to get rid of Jake and the Merciful, both plans are going to flop and backfire because Gren has absolutely not one functional neurons in his brain and he is a very chaotic and irrational and he just doesn't think ahead and he is a very short-sighted person, a deluded one and dangerous one, ungrateful (he doesn't want to listen to the advice that Jake and Shin both are giving him, he doesn't care for the consequences of his own damn actions) and all of this will get My favorite couple in big trouble!!! Jake shoulda deleted his ass already and I know why he didn't: Moon Shingun!
I absolutely Love Shin and Jake together ! I cannot wait to see their relationship evolve.
