Why r the mangas/manhwas with cheating in them rated lower than the ones with rape in them? In my opinion cheating can be redeemable depending on the situation. A lot people seem to deeply hate when a character cheats or even sleeps around too much and I'm not sure why
Because they both are read by different sets of people.
People who gave low stars to cheating stories is because they came for something better but were disappointed.
People who are giving more stars to rape stories are there to read it, its sickening ewww they think its fine.

i think it's a mix of 2 things!
1) as someone said, it's probably about expectations. whenever i see a BL with rape in the synopsis/comments/1st chapter, I'll just click off, whereas people who r into that r gonna make up the biggest group of ppl rating it.
2) i think SA and rape has very much normalized in the BL sphere, whereas cheating hasn't been romanticized to the same extent. that's why BL readers will mostly treat cheating as a huge moral failure while ignoring rape in the same series.
Any recs where the seme is an asshole to the uke but not in a rapey asshole way. Enemies to lovers kind of vibeee. No rape plsss
