I get why people are hating on grandpa. Regardless of whether she's "naive" or not, no self respecting woman with two brain cells to knock around their noggin is gonna be happy with being forcefully told what to do regarding who to marry.

If you're looking for a story that makes sense turn back now. This manhua is not for you. Unfortunately this is par for the course for trope heavy "romance" storylines in CN stories. Some martyr mother mary like MC gets abused and all just long and hard enough for you to almost/cross the line into hating mc for it with some asshole 2D ML with no personality other than being the rich handsome ceo trope. Turnabout happens MC finally gets pissed ML says sorry and they get together anyway.
The premise is about an uke that is abused mentally and physically by a seme like a martyr without a cause because the uke apparently loves seme. Then the uke will somehow, after all this, knock together his last two brain cells to become a "black lotus" that will make the seme regret his actions? But that doesn't last long because after some pathetic redemption arc they live together lovey dovey again as if all the previous abuse can be forgotten in the name of love. The seme has no redeeming factors with regards to his character, no matter what realization he will apparently have in the future which will cause him to beg on his knees (maybe?) for uke to take him back. Seriously the whole abuse , sorry, love set-up may just piss you off enough to give you cancer. But if the above description hasn't dissuaded you in favor of the pretty characters, at least know that you've been warned. I looked at the photos and the 1st 3 chapters and I've read enough chinese bl both raw and translated to tell you all of the above without actually finishing this hot potato.
