Aria wins the case cuz she wasn’t there when the dad was pushed which led people into thinking it was that bitch which it was anyways lemme give u a spoiler that doesn’t necessarily connect to this topic so BASICALLY the “uncle” the crown prince was talking about is actually aria’s dad but the uncle and the crown prince aren’t blood related don’t worry anyways Yh enjoy (▰˘◡˘▰)

The crown prince starts making evidence that Aria was never in the mansion and Mielle can't do anything against those "fake" evidences and is arrested. Princess Isis didn't even bother helping her during the court, but there's one thing that confused me during the court... Actually, there was a second bracelet that Aria was using.

From the novel perspective, Mielle stays arrested and her father stays bedridden because of the fall. Each time Cain visits him he tries to convince the father to forgive Mielle but he doesn't. In the meantime, Aria's mothers take care of him but also starts to steal his money to herself. During this all, Isis starts to her plan to marry off another prince of the country and helps Mielle escape prison (disguised as Isis's maid).

I mean, it’s understandable tbh. If i was in his position and some fake came and took my big sis’s place, then said she wish my big sis wouldn’t come back would be just as upset, but he did go too far. Honestly, i think the killing part was just a drastic part of the game, i don’t think it was HIS nor DEREK’s doing. Anyways, don’t get me wrong, just bc it’s understandable doesn’t mean i need to forgive and get along with them. Tf? I disagree with the author’s way of writing this.

But she’s innocent, he should be directing his anger at the Duke not Penelope, but obviously her actions later after the necklace incident were not right. I’d be upset too, her wishing that tho was because she didn’t want to go back to the streets, to the house that held her dead mother and to the very same streets she had to stand at and wait for food to be thrown out. Her only options would had been to be a prostitute or a maid.

But obviously his anger is understandable because he didn’t know her struggles. All he knew was some girl replacing their sister and he didn’t like that she wished for the real one not to come back because at the end of the day it was harsh to think that, but who wouldn’t? I just don’t like how he didn’t have some sort of resentment towards his father.

I think hate is a strong word. Maybe you dislike his opinions and choices? That’s how I feel. I feel as though he makes very poor choices. He should be with Cain in my opinion.
