It’s definitely twisted I think he wanted his second son to be ruthless to back up his first son since he’s “weak”. The best way to do that is to raise him to not feel empathy or love. Hopefully Hayden will fix that. At least he’s backing up his son but for how long

I think the scene where his choking his father is like just nightmare but he actually tried to save him and caught in the accident
I thought he did try to save him by pulling him away from the road but due to his build up hatered towards his father he let go of his arm in the end, leaving him to be run over. That could be part of the dream too though.
