after this sex scene, onodera heads back to his apartment to shower. he reflects how they’re actually dating now and how they didn’t hold back last night and how good it felt. he then goes to work without telling takano, and takano comes to work annoyed at onodera. onodera reflects how even though they’re officially dating, he’s still nervous. he sees a hs couple walking and thinks about how easy it is for them to be lovey dovey and be in love. onodera then tries sneaking home but takano catches him, and then they walk through that one park with all the cherry blossoms that they previously went to on onodera’s birthday when he was drunk. they talk about how they need to go back there again when the sakura are in bloom, and they promise each other then hold hands on the way home. takano has a spare key to onodera’s apartment, which he opens and then pulls onodera in which they start making out. it cuts to the bathroom where takano gives onodera head. onodera then gives takano head, but onodera has a rather erotic face that causes takano to panic and try to push onodera off which then takano finishes on his face. onodera is proud while takano is embarrassed, takano then pulls onodera into the bathtub where they have sex with onodera kinda riding him. afterwards, they laugh over how they still don’t know how to be lovey-dovey but that it’s okay because they only just started dating and have all the time in the world
chapter 40:
it starts already at work during hell week. takano comes in last, saying a kinda grumpy good morning to everyone. but then he goes up to onodera asking for documents, saying good morning softer and lightly brushing his hand. onodera starts fantasizing about the sex they just had last night. takano then texts onodera a link to an aquarium he wants them to have a date at after work.
it then cuts to their aquarium date, where they’re both marveling. they get to the jellyfish, where takano starts discussing how he once heard that jellyfish never truly die, instead they are basically reborn but that he wonders if they still keep all the memories of their previous life. takano then kisses onodera when no one is around.
they begin walking back to their apartment when onodera thinks about grabbing and holding takano’s hand. right when he is about to, onodera’s dad calls out his name. his dad talks about how he just came back from his work trip and that he will make a reservation at a restaurant so they can discuss what onodera wants him to. takano himself exchanges cards with him, saying they just had a business meeting.
it cuts to takano’s apartment where takano asks onodera what he wants to do again, and onodera responds he wants to continue working under takano. takano says he wants him too, but no matter what he’ll support him. onodera also thinks about how they never “officially” asked to get together. so he repeats saga’s words from a decade ago asking if takano wants to go out with him. takano is happy, kissing him, and saying yes.
it cuts to them having sex where takano is face fucking him. then takano mounts him from behind and they’re both on their knees.
then it cuts to the morning where onodera gets up to go back to his apartment. takano asks if onodera wants to move in, which he declines, so takano calls him stubborn. onodera then says that if he did move in, he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from thinking about takano all the time. that makes takano elated and he pulls onodera back into his apartment assumingly to have sex again
