I was hoping they were being sneaky about shiki cuz i really needed him and Akari to end up together. I think this is the most realistic yakuza manga I've ever read. Like there were real life-altering consequences for everyone involved even the protagonists. I feel like most yakuza romances just end up with the antagonists dead or defeated and the the "Good guys" make it out with barely a scratch. I really liked this
I can't believe anyone could call her weak-minded as if she isn't morbidly depressed and grieving not only her relationship with shinpei but also the relationship she though she had with her father.... like their world wouldn't be as shattered as hers if all that stuff just happened to them. And ESPECIALLY with her circumstances???? A woman in that time period, a woman with her medical condition??? Get real. If I was her idk how I'd function at all. There's no way I wouldn't be spiraling from all that.
I couldn’t even make it to chapter 10. I can't handle how much these kids are getting hit/almost hit by the adults around them including their own dad: / Like what is WRONG with all the adults??? There's absolutely 0 sympathy shown towards these kids that literally just lost their mother. Poor takuya
Is it just me or is she like... kind of dumb? All she does is immediately believe what any one says to her as long as it falls in line with what she already believes (that the blonde guy is a total piece of shit). And like I know why she's suspicious of him but I thought she was supposed to be like a super sleuth or something. Maybe I'm only going off that last couple of chapters that updated and i don't remember everything thats happened anymore but her fact checking leaves a lot to be desired. Its like they have to dumb her down for the sake of plot.

I've been thinking and fuming and thinking and fuming about that last side story since it came out. Like I get that its mostly a joke and a fun "what if" but the polygamous ending literally makes no sense. How would it ever even work when 2/3rds of the relationship fucking hate each other and are both the jealous type? Like magically they're going to suddenly get along and not fight over her attention and love??? What sort of get along sweater magic do they have??? I know I'm thinking too hard about it and I'm just a disappointed Lucas x Athy fan but it really is such a "this would totally make sense if you ignore canon and turn your brain off" chapter. I am without the necessary whimsy.
I think it's more of a fan service. Besides, romance for Athy was never the whole point. I appreciated that we really didn't dive in too deep on that. The focus was always gonna be with her father.
Definitely agree, I actually turned my brain off for that
As someone who also loves Lucathy, chill bro. Its a silly "what if" its not canon at all, and literally all these epilogue chapters are just fanservice of course it went for the comedic route instead of being serious.
