I just want to share this here so people will understand more what the authors, publishing company and fans who spends money might be fighting for. I'm not posting this because I'm trying to say that the scanlations are bad. I just want the people here to realize how much sites like this affects the manga/manhwa industry. I have no say in this because i also read here, but I support the author in however I can, I own atleast 100+ mangas now. I just thought that maybe atleast 1 or 2 people will be more convinced to support the artist after reading the article. and it's always better to know something than nothing at all.

Sorry for asking but, what the heck is happening?, Why is everyone talking about translators or about whomever is bitch-san?

I am just going to say this one thing. Please stay with me til the end

I live in a small town with only 2 libraries, and unfortunately they only have one copy of my favorite author's book (Tom Robbins, if anyone would like to check him out I suggest 'Still Life With Woodpecker', 'Jitterbug Perfume' is good too).
That being said the library paid for 1 (one) book, the author received royalties off of that 1 (one time) book sale. If I go and check out that book 50 times and return it on time not one person has made a profit, if I turn the book in late I pay $.25 (twenty five cents) fine and that money goes to the library. If 50 different people check the same book out (at different times) and return it on time, again not one person made a profit. If those 50 turn the book in late they pay the late fees and that money goes to the library. The author should have 50 sales of his book, but he only got the one. The library system is completely legal.

So what is the difference in this site and a library?

One person goes and buys a manga, translates it and uploads it for everyone to read, the mangaka got the royalties off the one sale.

I support when and where I can, but sometimes I cant and I read on sites like this one and mrm. Not every manga I read here is sold where I live, I understand that and I am sure that the artists understand that when they might not even market their mangas for international sales.
And I do support Tom Robbins, I have bought SLwW 3 times (1st, a friend borrowed it and never returned, 2nd got lost in a move, and 3rd I still have but my cat clawed the cover and first few pages. That was when I started to check it out from the library) I still plan to buy it again.

Hello~ Anachan here. I have a request to my fellow fujoshis who haven't read "In these Words" yet....I am actually planning to buy a chapter of that series but since I'm broke I'm unable to buy any more than that. I really do want to read this manga so bad but I can't ask for money from my parents when I can't even tell them what I'm using the money for and I don't get any pocket money that I'd save up(they don't know about my this hobby). If there is anyone out there who shares similar circumstances I would really like to request them if all of us can buy a chapter and share it with each other. I know it's too much to ask and also will be reaping the author but if by this we can help each other to read such an amazing work that we couldn't get our hands on because we can't afford it, I hope we'll really be glad. And I promise if I ever have the chance I'll buy the full series but I want to read it at least for once before I get forced out of my Yaoi world since I don't know how long I can continue doing it with people around me completely ignorant of such world even exists.
