>Before being reborn she suffered all her life, because her family didn't love her
>Gets reborn into a body of a girl, that's never been loved by her family
>In a system, where she literally can be murdered at any given moment if she isn't lovable enough
>With a deadline, that's REALLY REALLY close
>Man, who loves her 99% betrays her, because of a new girl
>Man, who tells her that he doesn't love her at all, proposes to her
>New girl will likely pursue this man too and if he comes to love new girl, he'll likely kill her (Penelope)
"Omg, why does she care so much about love!!! How annoying!!!"
Like of course there's her trauma, but again, THERE'S A DEADLINE ABOUT GETTING A MAN TO LOVE HER OR SHE'LL BE MURDERED. Even without the trauma, it is logical not to bind yourself to a man who doesn't love you in that situation. People will say, that we need more complex female characters, and then can't handle Penelope of all people bffr.
Is that a fucking baby in a baby dress holding a lollipop traditionally pictured with children in the cover, right there, next to all the ladies the protagonist is going to bed??? Just a bit below the text saying "My Harem consists entirely of female demon villains"???????
I swear to God he's getting wider and wider each chapter. He won't be able to fit into any of the panels on the final chapter.
MF better get all the money he was promised, leave the jail in time and unscathed, have all of his family survive and live a happy life with them
MC's got that Tomie rizz, where every man he meets becomes obsessed with him for some reason. I really like the ML, very gaslight ("I'm not as serious about you, as you're making it out to be"), gatekeep (will not let MC leave the bathroom), girlboss (district attorney).
SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD!!!
It's sweet, it's fun, it's cute and the art style is very pretty!!!
Even though I'm wlw I find it hard to enjoy gl mangas, because they often just don't "feel" right, BUT!
We've been getting so many genuinely good ones lately! "She loves to cook, she loves to eat" "The got the she liked, wasn't a guy at all" and now this! The future is looking bright and lesbian!
Idk man, I support women's rights and women's wrongs
Ok, ok, to expand on that, I find it difficult to dislike her. We, as the readers, are familiar with romance manga tropes and shoujo manga tropes, so our FL isn't really that strange to us. Fls are usually pretty naive in shoujo manga, even if it's not actually their character trait and just a plot device.
That's not the case here however, our protagonist is an extremely naive (even for a noble) shut off girl and the story constantly acknowledges it. And now, she finds herself in a place, where people can only survive by scheming and plotting.
Imagine this: You've spent most of your life in what is basically a brothel. Here, you are not a person, you are a merchandise. Everyday there are men coming and going trying to own you and your only choice is to stay valuable enough that no one can afford you. Your beauty comes with a time limit and with it does the power that gives you your freedom.
In the middle of this, a noble naive girl comes in, that (as far as you know) has been living in paradise all her life. She's effortlessly beautiful, yet she's surrounded by men who'd respect her no, and protect her anyway. She comes to you and asks you, to sell yourself, so that she can go back to her nice life as a noble. You make your living entertaining men, who'd buy your body if they could and have to listen to her demurely talking about her first love. And she wants you, to stick out her neck for her?
!!!HER, ASKING SATOKO TO HAVE SEX ISN'T WRONG OF HER, because Satoko basically told her the same thing. Satoko asked her to let herself be bought out (be forced to have sex) without thinking through what it'd imply, which makes sense, because this simply isn't Satoko's world. Satoko is kindhearted, but she's still a noble. Kissing the man she wants to marry is outrageous, but asking another woman to sell herself is not.
Idk I think it'd fix him, if they explored each other's bodies

I don't really understand the criticism to be honest. It's one thing, even in a middle of a tame wholesome romance a ml starts being abusive for no reason, or when a story about BDSM doesn't understand the rules of BDSM, but this doesn't claim to be any of that. I think it's like picking up a revenge manga and complaining, that the mc didn't go to the police haha.
After rereading it, it seems apparent, that the dynamic is "a tame, but secretly masochistic guy meets violent (but not sadistic), but secretly lovey-dovey guy" (sidenote: if there's any doubt about whether or not the mc is an actual masochist or slowly became one, reread the first chapter. The introduction explicitly states, that he started to seek the violence out). It's a story about how these characters develop and yeah, if he were real, he'd be an abusive ass in the first series, but he's not. You're not going to get interesting stories, if you demand moral purity out of all the main characters.
I really like that we get to see them grow together as people and the story wouldn't be nearly as good without the violent start. I also like how despite the wild premise, the story feels very grounded in it's world. Our main characters have worries outside of their romance. They're all adults and they feel like it!
To sum up:
S1- About them getting together. It's violent and dark, but it evolves into something resembling a partnership
S2- About them growing together. They realize, what they thought they wanted was completely different from what they actually wanted. Relapse of violence, which they swear off afterwards. They find support within one another.
S3- Discussing licking buttholes with the bros
"There's something I need your approval for."
He needs her to of approve him asking her dad for a hand in marriage
I sort of miss the older, less detailed art style. It's technically prettier now, but Dorothy just looks so cute and childish. She's a person that's lived an entire life already. She's a person capable of great cruelty. She's not some innocent heroine, that should blush at every moment.
EVERYONE WHO FINISHES THIS CHAPTER!!! Can you please tell me if she wins or at least puts up a fair fight??!?!! My heart can't bear the stress to read it without knowing before hand!!!
