I hate the side stories

Solo leveling is actually a work of art genuinely, I have never seen side stories get the lore so wrong ever. There are so many things wrong with the side stories like theres no mana in the world anymore which means his son shouldnt have ever gotten powers because you can’t “inherit” the monarch’s powers like that isnt a thing and he can’t awaken because theres no mana and no gates anymore and even still they skipped the entire awakening process like you don’t just have powers as a baby bro atp solo leveling ragnarok or whatever and these side stories are just their own manhwa because none of it makes sense. And also the system was created for jinwoo and then he destroyed the system so why would his son have a system like the author really sat down and was like “let’s forget all the lore and everything that happened in solo leveling so we can make manhwa for his son!”

    No jinwoo became the shadow monarch, the system was created by the original shadow monarch and the statue guy so that they could create a “body” for the shadow monarch to use since he was too strong to just pick someone random like the other monarchs did. But in the end the shadow monarch chose to let jinwoo stay himself basically the original shadow monarch let himself return to nothingness. But yeah that was the whole purpose of the system so when jinwoo fully became the new shadow monarch the system was destroyed like it didn’t exist anymore. His son having a system makes no sense and jinwoo creating one for his son makes no sense either, the side stories are stupid and so is ragnarok

    Ragnarok is not canon. The author himself told it in an interview. Ragnarok is not a continuation or something, the author said it was just fan-made and had nothing to do with the original solo leveling story.

Im kinda starting to dislike Owen/andante or whatever his old name was because he’s taking advantage of hyoseop’s feelings and I really can’t believe this entire time hyoseop’s just been a tool for him and that whole “owens dead x-guide” thing left a bad taste in my mouth and it was so sad watching hyoseop realize none of his guildmates actually cared about him i kinda want hyoseop to run away
