I'm so late to the party but I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of this. I can't wait to read this, the original novel was so good. I hope they stay faithful to the source! Hoping it's not too disappointing by the look of the comments
As politely as I can manage, don't read this. Trust me, it isn't worth it.
Go find the original novel and enjoy the real story instead of this inconsistent and, at times, incoherent mess. Use your imagination instead of whatever weird visual this provides. No offense to the artist, but they all looked better in my head.
Thank god they gave him back his bangs. He was NOT pulling off that pony tail in this style until much much recently. Still isn't but it looks better. At that point, he should've went with a short chop.
I don't care if it says "No harem", surrounding him with big boob girls with 2D personalities and little men does not make a story appealing. You either tag harem and might as well make BOTH men and women love him or no romance at all.

Just to be clear, you are aware that you are complaining about a pseudo harem, correct? It's not designed for BL lovers.
No offense but the last part of your argument comes off like: "You like BL and you're upset that this pseudo harem doesn't have enough good men for you to have BL fantasies about. " That being said, there is a solution. Petition to have the site managers add male heavy, and female heavy tags to show that their are alot of males or females.That way you never have to deal with female heavy manga again.
I like romance but most importantly fighting manhwas. I was being SARCASTIC about the love part which obviously you didn't get. I read the original source novel and it was honestly delightful and fun. I'm a reader of romance not just BL and not a harem fan no matter the gender.
Honestly with whatever the artist turned this beloved (to me at the very least) story into overly used trope of using women like this to garner attention is fine if you're into that but I had really hoped they'd be more faithful and bring out it's true strength which was the character's knowledge, determination and his wisdom as an ancient mage and his climb back to the light instead of cheap methods. The mage's story really is a fantastic one and I was genuinely excited to read this but this is what was produced. I'm sure the artist tried their best but they chose the wrong novel to adapt. It feels certainly ambitious but inconsistent with the script and the art. (￣∇￣")
I brought up the heavy male service because most of the time it takes away from the story when it's not supposed to be the focus in the first place. Sometimes it works but not in this type of story. I made an exaggeration about giving the same treatment to the men if they wanted to draw like that

They're all free, although some might be outdated depending on if they haven't been updated in a while.
You possibly may have to jump through different sites cuz while some may be.

A lot you can choose from but these are examples and I've never had to spend a dime and I personally have never gotten an malicious pop up ads. Do be careful tho when searching for others!

Do you have any idea how many people go to harem and non BL romance Manga and complain about it being harem or romance? It's far more than you think. So, much so that it gets annoying after a while.
But this was not tagged harem but has vague harem in it so they r annoyed about it. If harem was clearly mentioned some of us would have not even read this.

I came for this manhwa cuz it's actually comes from a good source of a novel. The original story feels like its barely there and artists are allowed to adapt to make it more suitable for all but this is underwhelming now.
I mentioned the harem as ONE of the many reasons it doesnt hold up and this person is so zoned in on it like it personally offends them. A simple tag would fix it. They need to move on
i dont think youve been using your eyes enough because in the tags and genres, it doesnt tell you its romance or harem does it. if people want to complain or ask, let them youll be fine.

Just to clarify, there are very strict requirements to be classified as a harem.
1. There must be AT LEAST 3 main female characters who knows the MC. (One off or short time females don't count)
2. They need to all be IN LOVE with the MC.
3.(Most people forget that this is necessary) The females MUST BE the MC'S type. And the MC must be open to romance.
It counts as a harem with a yes or a maybe but not a no.
Just as I told the other person, it's a pseudo harem. Harem elements alone do not make a harem. Refer to my previous comment for specifics.

That's rich coming from someone who keeps complaining about too many females. Only his disciple follows him around and he's clearly not interested in her. All of the other females (all 2 of them) are temporary.
One of them is already engaged and the other is a teacher who he doesn't see again after he quits school. You're the one complaining over something minor.
If this was a surprise harem then I would at least understand but this an action manhua with a romance gags. It's not nearly as bad as you all are making it out to be.
The joke is that he can't get into a relationship because it would distract him from his mission to save the world. So any attempt to get with someone will end in failure. It's not even that prevalent after the school arc. There are light implications but it never goes anywhere.

sorry to step up on ur debate about the tag of the manhwa....it came as a notification as like sm made me a reply....but in reality this is not a harem one...if you think carefully at the start of the manhwa mc likes older women since he came resurrected after 4000 years....plus he used to be in love with the mage on his old team before this season on new univers started....he had a thing for the girl he trained at the old univers he was originally but the story made it as a father or big brother kind of love...and neevr showed interes in other women in order to be called harem....even at the new season with this new univers he never showed interes romantically in any female character...that is based on my opinion while reading this manhwa not the novel...respectfully but as per the manhwa is not harem and the tag should not be put there
