The forced misunderstandings are really starting to pile up. The date at the apartment was kinda frustrating to read. Like, he absolutely could have talked about himself without saying the whole truth.

Does anyone have any good recs for BL with healthy relationship dynamics? I hate non-con and toxic yaoi, and it seems like there is just sooooo much of it lately. I also don't really like stories with overly naive Uke because they tend to get emotionally manipulated. So, preferably something closer to a power bottom kind of dynamic. Also, preferably something more plot-heavy than smut. I don't mind a good spicy scene or two, but when it's in every chapter, it gets super boring. Something like Sign, perfect buddy, Here u are. I'm also okay with stories that start out unhealthy so long as they end in a really good place, like BJ Alex, for example. Thanks for any recs!
omg semantic error. i LOOOVED the slow burn but some of the spicy scenes are censored (like u cant even see their waist and below)

I'm trying to find a yaoi that I read a really long time ago and I can't seem to remember the name of it. It was about a guy who makes a wish on the moon and gets transported to a world full of people who can transform into different types of cats. They cat people present him to their leader, who is a tiger, as his new bride. The main character doesn't really like that idea and is scared of the tiger so he attempts to escape only to need to be rescued. I really can't remember the name, please help!

omg yes! thank you so much, you have know idea how long I was looking for this. i thought it was from that author but I forgot it was only a chapter and not a short series and it's not on the cover art. lol
The characters were interesting, and I really liked the art for the most part. But I sometimes felt like the author wanted to write a deeper story, but never really committed to it or delivered on it. Some plot threads got solved during timeskips that we didn't get to see, the whole side plot about the royal family was a little confusing, and a lot of the issues between the main romantic leads were kinda just moved past without resolving. especially with the whole thing with the gross priest and Adain kinda projecting that onto their relationship. It's not explored any deeper beyond that one panel and is never brought up again. But we're left to guess that that is the reason they don't sleep in the same bed anymore, but it sounds like they were still having sex? It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
It's just kinda felt like every time they were starting an interesting plot development, it just kinda didn't happen, or was resolved really quickly. Which is a shame since the characters were interesting and they introduced a lot of interesting concepts, but just kinda didn't really do much with them.
My biggest pet peeve is the inconsistency in the art. Every time Adain was in his dragon form, his front knees were drawn bent in a different direction than the last time, like they just couldn't decide what anatomy they wanted to go with. Sometimes they were even drawn being bent in opposite directions at the same time! It drove me nuts. I also just didn't like the design of the dragon in general. I thought he looked kinda goofy, but that's more my personal opinion.
