It's strangely realistic? Maybe because I heard stories from people whose lives are so unnecessarily messy like this story. Especially the whole teenage first love, I unfortunately resonate with that huhu. But I get why people wouldn't like this. Story wise, very chaotic with a lot of useless events. The sex scenes were so uncomfortable and did not add anything but depression :/

It's true their whole sibling relationship is fictional but from a purely narrative perspective, it was unnecessary and it ruins Gil's character which sucks cause I think he'd make for a good end game. The one chapter where he's suppressing his urges because he's aware Cecilia only sees him as a younger brother. Huge ick. Oscar is a much better choice comparatively and I find it endearing that him and Cecilia have the same overthinking/jumping into conclusions tendencies(see. the misunderstanding with Eins lol) which easies up the whole "running around in circles" plot. He's just not my personal cuppa tea tho ¯_(ツ)_/¯ atp, make it a Yuri and pair Lean and Cecilia PLEASSEEE

I'm nearing chp 100 and my first opinion on Hestia did not change which is a bit disappointing but it makes sense to the plot and her character. Her reaction to Cael's every action is undeniably concerning and obsessive. Makes me feel better about my own fangirling tendencies (;;;・_・)
The fact that she also belittles the people's existences as just "fictional" to ease her emotions and justify her actions. I disagree with her as a person but she is interesting. Her and Diana are two sides of the same coin essentially. It's refreshing to see morally ambiguous characters.

Justice to Helios. He had his wrongs but he's the most normal one here U-U

I kinda appreciate these notes especially if they were written by Lequin. They're a bit twisted in a sense that he's treating it like some research project but it's telling he genuinely observed them as a parent would. Especially the part with instilling Cadin with the mentality that family should be treated with love, and how even if the kids would go at him with their different personalities, he still let them discover even if he found it bothersome. I'm sure love doesn't come naturally to him but he still shows it in... unorthodox ways.

In a parental sense, he did more than Eustis tbh. Although Eustis grew fond of Phil overtime, he never outwardly showed it so what would that matter to a child? In the end, Philomel's choice to go with her biological family was preferable.

Let's also remember she knew the future but she was very much still a child, not an adult who reggresed.
Hope she finds the familial love she deserves ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)

The priest here, Cardinal Richelieu is actually a real historical figure in 16th century France, an quite a famous one too. I find it nifty how this story references him a bit too accurately lol. The historical Richelieu is famous for establishing absolutism in imperial France. He was praying during the day but absolutely conquering the political scene...also during the day. And he was the mastermind of making France the ultimate European nation, which Louis XIV(debated to be the best ruler of France) continued during his rule (and got a nifty castle that was formerly Richelieu's). It's nice when authors add in historical references, be it events or people, and doubly satisfying if you know em. Don't skip school kids : D

The premise is so so so good but the storytelling T-T I don't mind that it's literally just a bl romantasy, it has every shoujo trope and cliche, sometimes too overloaded and sudden but it could've eased those up a bit with better storytelling ;-; but I give it plenty points for the premise and the plot and characters are tropey but obviously cared for
