The priest here, Cardinal Richelieu is actually a real historical figure in 16th century France, an quite a famous one too. I find it nifty how this story references him a bit too accurately lol. The historical Richelieu is famous for establishing absolutism in imperial France. He was praying during the day but absolutely conquering the political scene...also during the day. And he was the mastermind of making France the ultimate European nation, which Louis XIV(debated to be the best ruler of France) continued during his rule (and got a nifty castle that was formerly Richelieu's). It's nice when authors add in historical references, be it events or people, and doubly satisfying if you know em. Don't skip school kids : D
The premise is so so so good but the storytelling T-T I don't mind that it's literally just a bl romantasy, it has every shoujo trope and cliche, sometimes too overloaded and sudden but it could've eased those up a bit with better storytelling ;-; but I give it plenty points for the premise and the plot and characters are tropey but obviously cared for
Sloppy and unnecessary misunderstanding and lack of communication aside. (So far)The side characters of this manhwa are stupid to make way for the Fl and Ml's Superior elite ball knowledge and op airbending powers. It's so dragged out yet so rushed at the same time that it's honestly impressive. I've never been so frustrated at a story before like their romance?? Abrupt. Wtf was the divorce plotline for. Wtf was the confession scene like girl you're pregnant and have been married for 8 years wdym "owemgee I realized I've fallin for him" fuck outa here. And the antagonists are so lazy? Incapable? I don't even know the premise of this story anymore, legit lost the plot I do hope I eat my words up at the end tho PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG CAUSE I SEE POTENTIAL ITS JUST NOT GIVING
Honest critic. Goddamn that pacing in the middle I was killing me with anticipation like I get it wanted a dramatic yet realistic approach to the process of falling in love but fuhh⚰ well at the end of it I was rewarded with the soapiest of operas lol I just wished we had more Katarina moments, like the whole backstory between her and Dillon could be a separate psychological manhwa and I'd eat that shi up because goddamn what was that?? The explanation was a bit disappointing and felt disingenuous to the story and it's romance aspect tho. Overall a worth it read if the mind is up for the squabble. Tbh I'm just glad I read through the end because of Euse hehehehehe though very disappointed they introduced him so late as if for convention but ey, artistic Moreno me likey
I usually try to be objective of the characters' stories and understand what made them the way they are but this is the one time I truly TRULY hate one despite their reason. Cezar can fuckin suck it. Sure make him sympathetic but he's so disgusting I can't bring myself to understand his character. I wish I could reincarnate there and beat him up myself that bitch.
And my boy Enzo didn't deserve that tf? You introduce his personality now only to kill him off like that?? Fuh dude didn't even give Rudbeckia a chance to realize she might have family among the Borgias after all

They had me at Nexon and Shell Canola, Balsamic, Diesel???
