Idk something sinister happened in this manhwa nearing the end that threw away the hype for me. For most of the main story it felt like such a profound manhwa where the characters really took their time to think and rationalise their thoughts and actions and i genuinely felt like it was going to be one of the best modern bls but then??? it became miscommunication slop AFTER ALL THAT THINKING?! They dont even seem like the same characters anymore, they used to be so intelligent and mature. And the ending was so sudden and unfinished so now these side stories mean close to nothing to me. We should've seen a better resolution to their problems im still mad abt it
Miscommunication slop is an interesting take.. and where did this whole "communication fixes everything" ideal spring from?? Its like you said they were doing well communicating in the beginning so obviously that wasn't the issue. Towards the end the ml obviously couldn't take no for an answer and no matter how the mc put it the ml just wouldn't give up, the mc literally communicated his intentions and the ml just didn't listen, what else did you want the mc to do?? And characters, no matter how intelligent and mature they believe they are, doesn't exempt them from doing immature things. Not even sure where you got the idea that they were intelligent n mature since theyre whole relationship started on pettiness.. is it just cause they did the bare minimum and communicated as fuck buddies? Which even then the ml would jump the misunderstandings and the mc would misunderstand his misunderstandings and the whole thing was a "I'm gonna prove I'm the bigger person to make you look immature" fiasco

on top of the artstyle change we also have to deal with fuckass ai translations, this was one of my fav ongoing bls but im done
the new artstyle isnt that bad but its so vastly different to the other one. The first artstyle was deff better AND SEMIRREALISTIC which gave it a certain seriousness/vibe that cannot be matched by the new artstyle bcs the new one is much more anime/classical manhwa
right the new art aint bad but it fits better for like fantasy manhwa like a guideverse or omegaverse or reincarnation historical stuff
