Chapters keep getting shorter but man I just love this work so much

I get it. Fictional characters are there to provoke our (us readers/viewers) thoughts and evaluation, ergo judging them is an essential part of storytelling. Hence, a lot of the times, judgments we give are warranted.

But sometimes, especially in this community, a lot of readers judge characters like they're real people, often missing the point of their character flaws or what narrative purpose it intends to serve. Projecting your moral standards every chance you get defeats the purpose of reading and actually understanding a story, and I can't even imagine how unenjoyable it must if you're constantly demanding every character you encounter to fit your own moral framework. Sometimes a character is just the way they are, even when you fundamentally disagree with them. Accepting that doesn't mean you're excusing them. That dynamic is legit one of the wonders of fiction and storytelling.

TL;DR It's fucking fiction, a BL work with a theme that could literally slap you in the face with the title alone. Calm down.
