Glands and pheromones don't work like that, they have nothing to do with blood(on animals or humans, even if this is a fiction setting thing don't usually go tooo out of the way in omegaverse), I don't think that the blue veins would be the choice for the author to portrait them (gland and pheromones stuff)
my theory is that they are all playable characters with their own cassette tapes to save the game. I think doha has been going around erasing people casette tapes so they don't remember different things.
