However, it's only mentioned briefly and vaguely, so we don't actually know if the dad cheated or if it was planned or what truly happened. The most popular assumption is that the alpha dad cheated, but it hasn't been proven nor denied.

Just want to add thing from newest chp, the theory of the dad cheat becomes more possible because of the line "you and I need to spend the rest of our life apologizes to jinhyeok". Which honestly tho, the fuck ahjo need to apologizes for, like it's all your fault bich
It's somewhat confusing because of that line and just other weird interactions. Like the omega father acting very loving towards Ahjo or how both parents are okay selling off their child to legitimize their lineage. I wouldn't put it past them trying for an omega child and then finding someone else to "help" when they couldn't have one by themselves. But again, it could be a cheating situation.
The apologize thing could be referring to Ahjo "failing" to help the family because of the bonding and actually being an alpha problems. It could also be a "you are proof of failure bc you were born from cheating" but it sounds like it's more about him being an alpha - especially when you see in the flashbacks that he was doted on because others thought he was an omega.

Im not sure if it has a novel or not but i havent heard of one and ive been reading this since it was released, and the rest based on memory or a rough outline SO professor manipulated wooju into thinking jiheon was bad blablabla, wooju does not know that jiheon was drugging him but im pretty sure he knows the rest, and i do not think the professor has a partner. Someone correct me if im wrong cos i feel pretty off the mark since i havrnt resd ts in a year
Ive refreshed, so professor does have a partner as shown in ch43 it hasn’t been said whether they’ll have a story. As for the jiheon part he was denying the camp part which im not sure actually processed to wooju but if it did then he does know that it wasnt him — he was told jiheon isnt in contact with his mum but jiheon hasn’t admitted it? and many believe the professor was behind the camp thing + he might’ve raped wooju in his sleep.

With official chapters it's easier to see. It's where vol. 1 ends (ch. 122) and vol. 2 begins. The story doesn't actually seem to really have seasons, it's just devided in two parts that are kind of one season each. The first story is the one with mute guy and the second story is set many years in the future (don't wanna say who the second story's couple is cause that'll spoil too much)
