Yeah I half agree, but if you consider all the trauma lili has especially after Freddies death she needed someone to be next to her to physically reassure her that someone will stay by her and that kind of trust is hard for anyone except Joshua to give. I think it makes sense because even tho josh wanted to change lilis perspective of him as "family" he chose to put her needs rather than the expectations he had for lili. I've only read half but it so i can't be sure of all the information yet but for now I feel like josh is a good end game, I quite like Carlisle as well, I was initially rooting for him lol
