I won't say the story doesn't have its flaws, as every piece of art does, but overall, this was very enjoyable to me as someone who enjoys angst with happy endings. I will say this type of tragedy is very heavy, not even romanticized for fictional purposes. The emotions are raw and real. I could picture myself reacting similarly as the protagonist in a few of the situations. His numbness felt real, his sadness and anger felt real.
I'm sure opinions differ, and that's okay. This isn't a story for everyone.
If you enjoy stories like The Husky and his White Cat Shizun, you'll probably enjoy this.
