Yeah I’m sure it’s dead. Her body from the hospital was just a body with no soul; the soul being in the novel. Her decision to stay in the novel, means her soul no longer hover between both the realms and is settled. With no soul for the body (that was only alive because of the hospitals efforts) it will most likely be pronounced brain dead.
