Maybe, His mom was Taker's first love but she got banished and became human. She probably loss her memories . She didn't remember Taker and all the angel stuffs.
Chances are the reason she got banished was that she fell in love with a human and was pregnant. They probably gave her options of taking the baby's soul or get banish, and well she chose to get banish.
To add to this: the scar in his forehead might be a scar from when he was young/baby and someone was sent from heaven to collect his soul but his mom got in the way. The scar might be caused by a sharp weapon or he fell hitting his head.
