i just read this and one thing that bothered me was cirrus opened up to skylar but skylar never opened up to cirrus– he never told cirrus about what his friend in middle school did to him or explain his trauma with his mouth and why he was so disgusted when cirrus kissed him for the first time. i was looking forward to that if only because it would probably make cirrus feel better and be more considerate towards him…
i read this because someone on twitter called it the bible. it’s a well done manwha but i think that’s a bit much. it’s not really anything special in the grand scheme of manwha.
I think that was the best thing. Not putting too much drama in the story. Ofc I would have love that, if they had addressed skylar's problems too. But I think not addressing it makes it more realistic. Sometimes you need to let go of some things. Maybe he will tell it, if he is a bit older.
just reread this… so he never told him about the plagiarism or the fact that he left him in high school bc of the guilt and feeling like he killed his dad???? they just agreed to bury it? idk kinda lame that had no payoff
No I think he did tell him, the author just didn’t show the specific scene
I don’t remember the exact chapter but in the flashback where Haejin asks him why he’s been avoiding him they go to the snow and agree to talk…it fades to black so I’m assuming that’s how Haejin knows. Also it’s shown throughout the story that Haejin knows (like when he calls mc out for being guilty or when he notices him looking at the competition book). I’m assuming the author didn’t want to/know how to show the conversation explicitly

i respectfully disagree… he does say “fine i’ll tell you” but that’s not him confessing, he hurts him to drive him away and then talks about how he’s always running away, and he was running away back then (from telling the truth).
Yep, I agree on this one. I think that is the essence of the title “Best Left Unwritten”
the plot line is just boring. where do we even go from here. it’s not fun or exciting to read. these characters are just repeating themselves. there’s no intrigue and any goodwill built up by the first half of the story is wasted. the worst thing that can happen to a story you like is it getting boring and then just petering out :/
