Actually living in a hotel doesn't sound so crazy when you think about it. I know some people that did the exact same thing as Jinhyeong did. Like most of the time, they would live in a hotel for a like a year or so. They'll contact a staff/agent so they could get a pretty big discount. Sometimes some have like a one month or three months, six months, or even one year to stay packaged. It's like you're "buying" a unit there.
At some point in my life, after calculating cost living, etc i come to a conclusion that sometimes, it even has much more benefit if you planned to stay in a long time cause you got:
1. Meals, often buffet for three times a day (except from room service, ofc). Appetizer, main course, dessert.
2. Free wifi, electricity, water, etc
3. Unlimited swimming pool
4. Free gym
5. Free spa
6. Some hotels I've been visited even had like a free nail salon and hair salon
7. Hairdryer (free, you don't need to buy it)
8. Wardrobe closet (again, free)
9. Jacuzzi
10. Security
11. Housekeepers service
12. SmartTV that has OTT like Netflix, etc.
13. Air conditioner (at least in my country not every household got an aircon, especially when your country is hot and humid)
14. Free laundry and dry cleaning, sometimes you can request to get your shirts ironed too
15. Maybe not in every hotels (or maybe they did, idk I've never tried it before) but i read some of them provide service to clean your shoes too
16. Sometimes they even got live band performance
17. Balcony with view (again, not everyone got balconies in their house)
18. Free shampoo, body soap, etc.
What else?? I know it's technically not "FREE" FREE. But like, you get what i mean right
Well... Thinking about the rise of the properties price and apartments price, living in a hotel (especially when it's close to your workplace, uni, etc) kinda make sense somehow.
I haven't tried this, but based on you comment, it's the Overall convenience that you got and you don't need to think or plan what you need saves a lot of time in grocery shopping, commute to specific place for specific service etc. Overall the conveniency of it.

It depends on the hotel, if it's like five stars with suite room, etc it could be pricey ofc. That's why this kind of lifestyle is not for everyone, most of the time it's for people doing business and stuff like that since they want everything in one place and easy to commute (after all, like gas money, car, etc they got it from their workplace, they got it covered)
As i said before, you need to contact the hotel management yourself since ofc, they won't put it on their website. If you want to choose for a long stay (months or even years) they'll give you a pretty big discount, like... Big BIG discount and the price will definitely be different compared to paying the daily rate.
And with all the facilities, like you don't need to worry about meals, weekly or monthly groceries shopping, paying gym membership, spa, paying OTT subscriptions, electricity bills, wifi, paying housekeeper, house maintenance or if your gas leaking, roof leaking, etc, if i got that much money+busy asf, i too would choose a long stay in a hotel rather than buying an apartment unit or monthly rent
Most of the people I’ve come across are businesspeople. Since they’re looking for an "all-in-one" solution where everything is available in one place, without needing to hire anyone else or pay extra for anything, especially when the hotel is close by their workplace or within the same area. Some corporate also covered their gas money, some even got car from their company for commuting.
Like sure they can hire housekeeper, a chef, or someone to pay all their bills or paying gym membership or anything elses but they want it to be in one place and i understand why a long stay in a hotel is pretty much their first option. It's like... They don't have the time and don't want the hassle, so they have to make it work with the money they have ╮(￣▽￣)╭ (oh to be financially stable... Oh to be rich....)

I don't think some of y'all know how big and crazy the vtubers market is especially if you're a popular streamers especially in JAPAN..... I still remember that one big "scandal" in JP, literally almost the entire nation talk abt it (one video from that one fan crashing out on discord even become a global meme LOL)
So yeah if you're make it THAT big in JP as vtubers? Your one month salary as a salesman probably is like your one live streaming as a vtuber (as long as ur company is not an ass like kurosanji lol couughhh couughhh)
When the pandemic hits and ppl stay at their home, the JP company take a huge step to the global market (u know how gatekeeping they are) and one of them is... As u guys know, make an EN branch for global audience, for example: Luxiem. They're that big in China by the way, I've seen a couple of birthday ads, etc in a bus, train, random public transportation, where i rarely saw them doing something like this to vtubers that has market to English-speaking audiences. I mean i know Chinese fans are crazy for 2D, like animations, games, etc but it's so rare to see them gagging at vtubers ESPECIALLY from EN branch, most of the times, it's local or from East Asian countries.
Vtubers industry (and utaite singers) in Japan is like what Idol groups is in South Korea so yeah... If you make vtubing as your first source of income, you have to like 100% commit to it. But if you're an indie, doesn't have manager or company backing you up, only streams when you have the time to... well, you rarely make it big in the market.
Well, i'm not trying to defend niji but if you're aiming to be a female vtuber, I won't recommend that company so choose other company. But if you're a male give it a try as long as you have any talent you're excel at...
