When i first read your comment i was like “I don’t think it’s possible for Hirata to be alive bcz there is the title of the newspaper with “yakuza corpse found”(chp 35) so he is surely dead” but then after re-reading the chapter i thought maybe that guy Yanagi helped Hirata to fake his death .. and if that what might happened that will be a good plot twist but im still like 95% sure that Hirata is dead

Yes! Yanagi is the accomplice of Hirata in dealing with drugs. Also, hirata's body were not shown in any chapter aside from the news, maybe they fake it haha idk but thats my hunch.
